Data Science?

The Simplest explanation of the Data Science would be, Applying some sort of scientific skills on top of the data so that we can make this data talk to us. 

Now what do i mean by applying scientific skills on top of the data?

Data science is an umbrella term which contains multiple scientific skills & techniques. Some of the techniques which data scientist comprises are :

(i) Data Visualization :

Data Visualization means graphical representation of the data. It involves producing image that communicate relationships among the represented data to viewers of the images. This communications is achieved through the use of systematic mapping between graphics marks & data value in the creation of the visualization.

Let's make it simple; Data visualization is the process of taking raw data, transforming into graphs,charts,images & even videos that explain the numbers & allows us to gain insights from it.

eg:

Tracking the Activity of an individual and creating an pie chart using the data

(ii) Data Manipulation : 

Data Manipulation is the process of changing data to make it easier to read or to be organized.In Data Manipulation we can add, update or even delete the data if we want. Let's take an example : arranging the dataset of the students mark sheets according to descending order of their marks. Which may help us to identify that which student scored High, Average or Low or filling the null values with the mean of the column.

eg : Based on the Highest to Lowest Name & Roll number of the students is arranged.

(iii) Statistical Analysis :

Statistical Data Analysis is a process of performing various statistical operations. It is kind of qualitative research, which seeks to quantify the data, & typically, applies some form of statistical analysis. Quantitative data basically involves descriptive data, such as survey data & observational data.


(iv) Machine Learning :

I can't explain how excited i'm to cover this topic with you but at this point i'll just give you an over view of that thing.


Machine Learning is an application of Artificial intelligence that provides system the ability to automatically learn & improve from experience without being explicitly programmed. Machine Learning focuses on the development of the computer programs that can access data & use it learn for themselves.
